The Science Park, serving as an intermediary organization, has been implementing a project to develop a support mechanism for entrepreneurs to become innovation-based enterprises. A total of 5 companies have participated in this project, including Southtern Seafood Products Co., Ltd., Plan Creations Co., Ltd., SK Polymer Co., Ltd., E-Gate Dream Co., Ltd., and C.N. Engineering Supply Co., Ltd. Prof. Dr. Nopphon Wongsiri, the Vice President for Research and Innovation at Songkla Nakarin University and the project leader, reported the progress of the project. The project has involved meetings with entrepreneurs to analyze the SWOT potential of the organization and to discuss how to develop them into initial IDE entrepreneurs. In the next phase, there will be collaboration with IBDS to provide consultation to entrepreneurs, as well as to develop and execute the plans that have been laid out.

The Committee acknowledged the progress of the project’s operations and provided suggestions to the intermediary organization regarding the in-depth readiness assessment of entrepreneurs. This assessment includes financial considerations, past investments, business opportunities, and issues, as well as market research and development, emphasizing a demand-driven approach. The Committee recommended the development of tools for preliminary analysis of entrepreneurs’ readiness. The Intermediary organization may need business experts to provide guidance and collaborate in the assessment of entrepreneurs, enhancing the understanding of entrepreneurs in business aspects.

Afterward, the University led the Committee on a tour around the Prince of Songkla University Science Park, exploring both the resources and the research and development infrastructure, along with the facilities supporting technology-based business entrepreneurs. This visit showcased the potential of the regional Science Park, a crucial technological infrastructure of the region and the nation of Thailand.
